The breakfast selection was very nice, and the room was beautiful and incredibly spacious. We felt utterly at home and loved walking the grounds during the night. The hotel is right in the centre of the city, so it's a great base to have when exploring the town. It was also quite empty during our stay, so we felt very well attended to. We were thoroughly impressed by the diligent and caring staff at the Raj, especially Narendra, who worked in the coffee shop. We had some difficulty with a cab company, and Narendra, having overheard our conversation, went well beyond his role to ensure that our car arrived on time and that we were safe on our drive to our destination. He gave us his personal number, and told us to call if we ran into any trouble. He also spoke with our driver before our journey to confirm that we wouldn't be unwittingly taken to any shopping bazaars or pressed for more money on arrival. We both felt confident that Narendra would help us out if we ended up in any trouble, and we were very touched by his concern. He turned a miserable day into a positive experience, and we're very grateful.

Raj palace Arriving at the Raj Palace you receive a very warm and enthusiastic welcome from the hotels team, you are given a very nice Strawberry drink which after long hours of travel is most welcome. The Raj is steeped in history its beautiful court yards, plentiful statues, turret’s, antique furniture amazing chandeliers, what I will remember most about my stay at the Raj Palace is its staff who looked after us with such warmth and kindest nothing being too much trouble. The waiters always asking how spicy we wanted our food, breakfast is good value and tasty it set us up for a day of sight seeing. The food is varied and the service swift. Reception staff always very accommodating helping us with taxi arrangements making sure we got where we wanted to be. My only criticism is that on arrival I was disappointed with our room whilst the marble bathroom and antique furniture are beautiful the room is in need of redecoration but the level of service we were received during our stay certainly made up for any initial disappointment.

It is a former maharajah's palace from the 18th century. The splendour of bygone days is still palpable. The whole complex is very spacious, sumptuously furnished and like an oasis in the hustle and bustle of the hectic city. The staff is very friendly, courteous and helpful (for example, they organised train tickets for us, which is quite a difficult task in India). The whole hotel exudes the charm of an old grand hotel, you feel a bit transported back to a bygone era. The rooms are spacious, the breakfast is rich (you choose à la carte, there is no buffet, which we found very pleasant). The pool is located in a small courtyard, where you are mostly alone. The hotel is very centrally located in the centre of Jaipur; for example, the City Palace is only about ten minutes away by taxi. We can fully recommend this hotel. Despite its size, its history and heritage make it a far more individual travel experience than comparable hotels in this price range from larger hotel chains.

Location was excellent! The whole place is gorgeous! The food at the restaurant is amazing and the staff there, was super friendly! The staff at the front desk especially Dharmveer and the guy at the door were AMAZING!!! I can’t say enough about them! They helped with EVERYTHING we asked for and always with a smile! Came with us to the atm, helped us with our transfers to and from the hotel, which was difficult because the day of our arrival all the main roads were closed! The guy at the door (i wish I remembered his name) always greeted us with the biggest smile and we can honestly say we will miss him!! We will definitely return♥️
